Macquarie Business School conducts regular workshops with a view to building capabilities in Research and in Teaching.  Although hosted by MQBS, attendance at these workshops is open to all MQ academic staff.

The next workshop will be held on Friday 27th November 2020 and will address Building Teaching Capabilities. It’s the second in series with a focus on the use of Case Studies.


The workshop will address the use of relatively simple case studies within the classroom setting. Several contexts will be considered including:

  • short exercises with student break out groups
  • role play exercises
  • class discussion conducted in several stages
  • take home cases

Date: Friday 27th November 2020

Time: 3.30-5.00 pm

The workshop will be chaired by Professor Tom Smith (Head of Department Applied Finance) and convened by Professor Mark Stewart (Leadership and Teaching – Department of Applied Finance).
