Here are some ideas to guide your progress through the Curriculum and Assessment domain of the Professional Learning and Capability Enhancement (PLaCE) Framework:
- Lead initiatives to evaluate and enhance curriculum design
- Evaluate and improve assessment design and moderation practices in your department/faculty
Develop your leadership in Curriculum and Assessment:
Lead: | Lead a course reaccreditation process. Find resources on the MQ Course Reaccreditation SharePoint site. |
Lead: | Lead course design and redevelopment. Consider the Design, develop, implement approach. |
Read: | Get inspiration from other MQ staff on how they are leading assessment change and initiatives. Case study: Authentic assessment viva voce exams. |
Share: | Share resources (and discuss) with colleagues on topical assessment issues such as academic integrity, generative artificial intelligence, universal design for learning etc. |
Watch: | View the series of Transforming Assessment webinars and explore aspects of assessment in higher education with a focus on the use of technology to enhance assessment of student learning. |
Facilitate: | Set up working groups in your department/discipline/faculty to explore, evaluate and enhance aspects of curriculum and assessment. |
Review: | Hone your skills as a critical friend for MQCMS Submissions for a new unit or course. (Critical friend checklist resource coming soon). |
