The Learning and Teaching Podcast Discussion Club is like a book club… but with podcasts!

Instead of reading a book, you’ll listen (in your own time) to a podcast then you’ll join us for a one hour Zoom session on the first Wednesday of the month where we’ll discuss the ideas and issues raised in the episode.

Our next session will be on Wednesday, 7th April, 2021 at 12 noon via Zoom.

Topic: Common teaching pitfalls as ‘deadly sins’.

For our April Zoom ‘gathering’, we will dive into a lighter L&T podcast ‘genre’. Informal and ‘edutainment-inspired’, this 24-minute podcast presents the topic of common teaching pitfalls as ‘deadly sins’. In addition to the content itself, this podcast gives us a chance to reflect on our comfort levels of ‘conversational’ and ‘edutainment’-style content delivery. When listening, note how this podcast made you feel… Did its ‘loose’ style put you at ease or blow the presenters’ credibility? Where do you draw the line for content delivery? What would and wouldn’t you use for content presentation? And, of course, what do YOU view as ‘deadly sins of teaching’?

Join us over ‘virtual’ lunch to discuss. Anyone is welcome!

Enter your email below and we will send you the calendar invitation and the Zoom link.
