Do you get flooded with iLearn related queries from your students? Do you wish your students would submit assignments that have a stronger argument, are more coherent, or are just plain readable?!

If you answered yes to either of these questions, we have good news for you! Learning Skills are excited to announce two new peer support programs available in Semester 2.

Ask an iGuide

iGuide peer leaders help students extend their online skills for learning. They can assist with using iLearn more effectively, including accessing unit readings and assessment information, submitting assignments, understanding Turnitin, and contributing to discussion forums. They can also answer basic questions about MS Word, PPT and Excel, and refer students to the appropriate place for help on other MQ systems such as eStudent.

Students can chat to an iGuide from 12pm to 3pm in the Library (Monday to Friday), and at Faculty Student Service Desks from 12pm to 3pm on the days shown below:

  • Faculty of Arts Student Service Desk – Monday
  • Faculty of Science and Engineering Student Service Desk – Tuesday
  • Macquarie Business School Service Desk – Wednesday
  • Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Service Desk – Thursday
  • Faculty of Human Sciences Service Desk — Friday

WriteWISE

Students can chat to a WriteWISE leader at our Library drop-in desk and/or join a weekly writing group:
