1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Seminar Room 1500, Level 1, 75 Talavera Road

Do you need to provide evidence of the quality and nature of your teaching practice?   For instance, when you are preparing your teaching case for promotion or you are applying for awards, grants or fellowships.

You can obtain evidence from many sources about the quality of your teaching and the ways in which you continually improve your practice. This workshop will explore the requirements of promotion and award evidence and the possible sources of data for each.  Importantly, we will workshop how to go about gathering and storing the evidence in preparation for writing your case well in advance of when it is needed.  The key message is to prepare well in advance.  This workshop is suitable for all academic levels. We would particularly like to invite successful award winners and promoted academics to share their “gathering and storing” strategies.

The workshop will be co-facilitated by Dr Morwenna Kirwan (Senior Teaching Fellow, FMHS) and Dr Karina Luzia (Program Coordinator Professional Lead, Office of PVCE).
