2 Technology Place (2TP) Room G10

The Personal Learning Designer (PLD) tool in Moodle allows educators to monitor student performance through customisable alerts and notifications.  It will help you automate routine administrative tasks and free up your time.  As a by-product, it will also improve your teacher presence in the Unit.  ‘Teacher presence’ has been shown to increase student motivation and engagement.

This Moodle tool easily creates bots that encourage and notify students; effectively fostering student morale and confidence.  The tool also makes the course more tailored to each student by automating content release and customising navigation.

This 1-hour session will be hands-on, so please bring your own device. The workshop will take you through the process of automating email alerts for students.  You don’t need to be a technical genius, just someone who cares about student morale and confidence.

This Moodle tool will become your best friend, once you see its potential.  Come along and see for yourself.
