Building and re-using reading lists for units is easy with the University’s reading list management system, Leganto. Simply create or update your list, hit SEND LIST, and the Library will take care of the rest.

Students love the convenience of accessing their unit readings in iLearn. By using Leganto you can provide links to unit readings from within your iLearn units, avoiding potential copyright issues.

Copyright and licensing restrictions mean Library-subscribed digital resources such as journal articles or book chapters shouldn’t be put directly into iLearn. Learn more from the Library’s Copyright for teaching pages.

New Leganto users:

  1. Setting up a new reading list is easy. See the step-by-step guide.
  2. You can include items in any format in your list, and if the Library doesn’t hold an item you need for teaching, you can request a purchase from within Leganto.

Experienced users:

  1. If you have previously created a list for your unit, don’t worry, your list is rolled over for you to check. As the Unit Convenor, you’ll receive an email notification with a link to your list.
  2. Review and update your list as required. Remember to hit the SEND LIST button and the Library will take care of it for you.
