As you’re getting ready for the start of session, here are six quick and easy steps you can take to help your students develop information and digital skills: 

  1. Provide students with comprehensive referencing guidance (AGLC4, APA 7th , Chicago, IEEE and Vancouver). Each guide now includes a downloadable quick guide (pdf). 
  2. Add Subject and Research guides directly into your iLearn pages, connecting students quickly to relevant Library sources. 
  3. Point students to advice on generative AI for study and for AI tools for literature reviews (these include links to MQ resources and referencing guidance). 
  4. Encourage students to develop their skills by adding Udemy Business (replaces LinkedIn Learning) resources into their coursework. Find out about Udemy Business, Clickview, O’Reilly and more. 
  5. Link to a Library YouTube playlist (New to MQ, Finding resources @MQ, Skills for Postgraduates
  6. Remind students about workshops and dropins
