Universities Australia on 23 February announced the 2022 Australian Awards for University Teaching (AAUT) winners. These awards celebrate and reward programs, practices and individuals that support students and enhance learning.

Citations recognise and reward the diversity of contributions made by individuals and teams to the quality of student learning.

Our 2022 AAUT recipients are:

Dr Joel Fuller

Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning

Department of Health Sciences – Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences

For excellence in inspiring and supporting postgraduate physiotherapy students using innovative teaching approaches and authentic, student-centred learning experiences.


Dr John Turchini

Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning

Macquarie Medical School – Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences

Focussing the lens on pathology medical education: getting to the diagnosis through integration, team-based gameplay, clinical scenario generation and delight.
