The learning and teaching Podcast Discussion Club is like a book club… but with podcasts!

No homework required! Just come along to the meeting and we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll play a selected excerpt from an L&T podcasts (3-5 minutes) and will then discuss what we’ve heard.

Our June discussion will focus on inclusion and belonging – being a ‘visibly different’ person in the classroom.

We’ll be listening to this 5-minute audio extract from Michelle Obama’s biography in which she describes her experience of being a student at Princeton University. We’ll explore the idea that it takes emotional energy to be the only visibly different person in the classroom and what this means for inclusion and belonging in the higher education setting.

You don’t need to listen to the audio prior to the meeting though as we will play them at the start of the meeting.

Join us and bring a friend! The more, the merrier!

If you are not already a Podcast Club member, please enter your email below and we will send you the calendar invitation and the Zoom link:
