Have your say in the Macquarie University survey about diversity and inclusion at work.

Macquarie University is committed to fostering workplace diversity, inclusion and belonging to ensure all our people, from any background, can contribute to their full potential. The Inclusion@Work Survey is an important tool to help us measure how diverse and inclusive Macquarie University is, and understand what we are doing well, and where we can do better. This information will be invaluable as we start to work on developing our new Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Strategy.

Diversity Council Australia’s Inclusion@Work survey is now live and you are invited to have your say. The survey is designed to enable you to provide input into how we can improve diversity and inclusion at Macquarie University.

Macquarie University is investing in diversity and inclusion.  The Macquarie University Equity, Diversity and Inclusion policy has just been launched and there is now a Diversity and Inclusion Committee in every Faculty and Portfolio. There are measurable targets being set, assessments being made, progress being tracked and reporting happening on a regular basis to ensure we stay on track with where we think our workplace needs to be. Further information can be found on the Workplace Diversity & Inclusion Sharepoint site. Diversity and inclusion impacts all of us in very real ways, as the research shows.

According to previous Diversity Council Australia’s Inclusion@Work Survey results employees in inclusive teams are:

  • 4 times less likely to feel work has a negative or very negative impact on their mental health.
  • 5 times less likely to experience discrimination and/or harassment.
  • 11 times more likely to be highly effective than those in non-inclusive teams.
  • 10 times more likely to be innovative.

The Inclusion@Work survey is now open and closes 11.45pm on Friday 25 February 2022. All responses are confidential and anonymous. If you have questions about the survey please refer to the FAQs.

Please complete the Inclusion@Work survey and tell us about you and your experiences of inclusion at Macquarie.
