Exciting student-centred transformation is happening right across the University on many different fronts. From curriculum transformation through to our campus redevelopment program and everything in between, the focus is on setting our students up for success, now and into the future. Our goal in Learning and Teaching is to deliver a distinctive Macquarie pedagogy that empowers our students to succeed and allows our teachers to thrive in a transformative learning environment.

To set us up for success in 2020 and beyond, the Office of the PVCLT will be rolling out a series of activities that are specifically designed to support our Learning and Teaching community as we continue our transformative journey. We’re kicking these off with an interactive and participative conference-style event called ‘Educating for Success: 2020’ and would be delighted if you could join us.

When: Thursday 6 February 2020, 9:30am – 2:30pm

Where: MQ Marquee (outside The Chancellery, Eastern Road)

Showcase Key Themes:

  1. Learner Engagement
  2. Feedback and Assessment for Success
  3. Technology Enhanced Learning

This showcase will be hosted by Professor Dominique Parrish, PVC Learning and Teaching, with speakers’ presentations focusing on the three key themes outlined above. It’s clear from the many students who nominated their teachers for an Academic Staff Award this year that our Learning & Teaching community is rich with ideas, innovations and passion for great teaching. With this in mind, further Educating for Success events will be developed in collaboration with our Macquarie Teachers.

Don’t miss out on being part of this exciting event where you’ll have the opportunity to share best practice, contribute your ideas, network with your colleagues and maybe even pick up some practical hints and tips along the way.
