Have you ever reflected on the stages of your teaching career that provided humbling and sometimes embarrassing insights into how far off the mark you were? Have you been asked by students if you are a grandparent when you’re not even middle-aged or felt accomplished when a student looked up from their screen, once, during a tutorial?

Sharing his very personal and candid story of growth, Dr Murray Taylor, who was the recipient of a Vice-Chancellor Citation Award in Learning and Teaching 2018, had the room in stitches. A moment too good not to share!

Thank you, Murray (and your wife Laurice for the recording!) and congratulations again on your well-deserved recognition.
