After receiving feedback at a workshop on the new iLearn Insights tool, we would like to announce the addition of three new features, available on Insights on the 3rd of August 2018. We are also running another Insights workshop on the 14th of August 2018. Please come along if you want to learn more about Insights and bring any ideas you have for unit related reports that will help you with your teaching.

More filter options for assignment submissions –

by Group, First name, Last name and Gradebook mark

You can now apply the above filters to the report on the assignment submissions page. This allows you to focus on particular students rather than seeing the entire list of students.

More granular unit access controls

You can now give your tutors and markers access to view unit reports. This feature lets different users take full advantage of the information that Insights can provide. You can now select both the date range for your unit as well as the roles you want to give access to. Once you have selected the role access, the tutor or markers you have allocated in iTeach will automatically gain access to the Insights reports for that unit. (Note: If you decide to use the role access control feature, tutors and markers will be able to see information for all students in your unit, not just the students in groups the tutor or marker is a member of).

Download any table as a spreadsheet (csv)

All tables within Insights can be downloaded as a csv file. By downloading the csv file, you can further filter the information or make it easier to use email addresses for communication with students.

We hope that these updates prove useful and we are always open to further feedback and feature requests. Send your feedback request  through the Feedback and Feature Requests tab in Insights,

where you can also view and vote on requests from other users.
