The Incubator, Events Space. 8 Hadenfeld Ave

This is the first in a series of three workshops designed for Macquarie staff to help understand and meet the needs of our neurodiverse students and break down the barriers to their success.

The outcomes of this workshop are to:

  • Understand the concept of neurodiversity and how it may present in individuals
  • Be aware of the impact of neurodiversity in our current educational systems and the role executive function plays in learning and behaviour
  • Gain a positive perspective of neurodivergence
  • Explore current research on neurodiversity in higher education

The workshops are open to MQ teaching staff and professional staff with a role in learning and teaching or student support.

Staff who attend all three workshops will be awarded a microcredential to recognise completion of this professional development opportunity.

The workshops are designed to be completed sequentially, however, registrations for any 1 or 2 of the workshops will be accepted subject to the availability of places. Priority will be given to staff who register to complete all three workshops.
