Transform your classroom into a place of excitement and deep learning with team based learning (TBL).

TBL is a teaching methodology which increases student engagement, motivates students to high levels of attendance, preparation, participation, sparks group discussion as well as facilitating collaboration and negotiation amongst students.

Facilitators: Associate Professor Panos Vlachopoulos from the Faculty of Arts and Senior Learning Designers Matt Robson and Sherrie Love from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science.

Workshop agenda:
9.00am – 9.30am: Registration and morning tea
9.30am – 10.30am: What is TBL and why do it?
10.30am – 11.30am: TBL in Action: Become a TBL learner for an hour
11.30am – 12.30pm: How to use TBL in your Learning and Teaching
12.30pm – 12.45pm: Closing remarks, evaluation and the way forward
12.45pm – 1.30pm: Lunch
