Do you know that (MEAP) a learning analytics plugin in iLearn was used by unit convenors in 23 units with 5346 students to support them and send 692 targeted emails in session 2 2017? If the response from students is anything to go by, convenors should seriously consider using it:
Just checked my results and I cannot believe it that I got credit given the way I started. Can I say big thanks to you for the email you sent to me on13/04. I had just logged on to my account to withdraw from the unit when I read your email and that prompted me to continue with the unit because I realized that there was someone out there who cares. Much Appreciated! Thanks once again.
Student email response to convenor using MEAP
If you want to find out more about MEAP, or would like to use it in session 1, come to the workshop. You’ll get hands on experience and learn about how to effectively use this tool. So that you can start setting up the learning analytics tool in your unit during the workshop, we recommend that you email onehelp@mq.ed.au and request MEAP be installed in your unit. Note that it can take up to 24 hours for this to be actioned.
