At The Writing Centre (TWC), we know that well-developed and effective English language, academic, and communication skills are vital to students’ study and career success. Our team empowers students to expand their skills and capabilities, maximise their academic performance, and enjoy their learning experience at Macquarie.

We invite all coursework students to:

  1. Attend academic development workshops
  2. Explore StudyWISE
  3. Chat with a WriteWISE leader
  4. Consult a Learning Adviser
  5. Access Studiosity

Teaching staff can also refer students directly to TWC using this form.

TWC advertises learning opportunities to students via The Feed, campus social media, and our online calendar of workshops and events. If you’d like to promote TWC in lectures or tutorials, we’ve prepared a visual that you can share with you students (download here).

Currently, all our services are provided online. Commencing in Week 8 (Tuesday 26 April), TWC will be opening a ‘pop-up’ space in the Library to host WriteWISE drop-in sessions, booked consultations with Learning Advisers, and other group activities.
