At The Writing Centre (TWC), we know that well-developed and effective English language, academic, and communication skills are vital to students’ study and career success. Our team empowers students to expand their skills and capabilities, maximise their academic performance, and enjoy their learning experience at Macquarie.

We invite all coursework students to:

  1. Attend academic development workshops
  2. Explore StudyWISE
  3. Chat with a WriteWISE leader
  4. Consult a Learning Adviser
  5. Access Studiosity

NB: Studiosity referrals should only be made where a) a student has English as an additional language/dialect; or b) language feedback on a summative and/or high-value assessment task may be of specific benefit to students.

If you have a student you feel could benefit from one-on-one support to improve their academic writing, refer them to us, or via this linked tile in iLearn.

The Writing Centre services are now available both on campus and online! We advertise learning opportunities to students via The Macquarie Feed, campus social media, and our calendar of workshops and events. If you’d like to promote The Writing Centre in lectures or tutorials, we’ve prepared a visual you can share with your students (download here).
